Basse-cour carougeoise

The Basse-cour carougeoise is the main cantonal poultry exhibition in Geneva, usually held in February at the Place de Sardaigne in Carouge. It is the only event of its kind to be held outdoors and has become the unmissable meeting place for city dwellers with these animals that they often only meet in pictures. Thus, during five days, the inhabitants of Carouge wake up to the crowing of the roosters, giving back to this pretty Sardinian city the rural character that it likes so much.
